I always enjoy learning new skills and about new stuff though, and the kayaks are a wide open new area. Hopefully my current kayak (#3 in 2 years) is good enough, and I don''t buy and sell quite as many kayaks as I did bicycles. We”ve had kayaks for a couple of years now, and I”m a pretty big gear head, so I think I”ve gotten my lingo caught up. I always enjoy learning new skills and about new stuff though, and the kayaks are a wide open new area.

Hopefully my current kayak (#3 in 2 years) is good enough, and I don”t buy and sell quite as many kayaks as I did bicycles.

It''s funny that you like/disliked many of the same things that my wife and I noticed about the Broken Group. We too had trouble with illegal motorboat campers taking over the limited sites with tons and tons of stuff. And Tofino is a little touristy. That said, the Broken Group has terrific paddling and beautiful scenery. Your write up reminds me how much we enjoyed paddling there several years ago. Wonderful write up on your trip.
